Velox APP LTD ("we", "our", or "us") operates the InstaCaptain mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. By using InstaCaptain, you agree to the practices described herein.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information when you register or use the Service:
- Identity & Contact: Full name and mobile phone number.
- Location & Demographics: City of residence, nationality.
- Professional Profile: Vehicle type (motorcycle, car, bicycle, etc.) and years of delivery experience.
- Device Information: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token used to deliver push notifications.
- Usage Data: Job ads viewed, interest expressions submitted, and interaction timestamps — collected for service improvement and analytics.
We do not collect precise GPS location, payment card details, or sensitive personal data (e.g. health, biometric, or government ID data).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your rider profile.
- Match you with relevant delivery job advertisements posted by employers.
- Share your profile (name, phone, city, vehicle type, experience) with an employer only when you explicitly express interest in their job ad.
- Send push notifications about new job opportunities, availability checks, and important service updates via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Improve, personalise, and develop the Service.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on:
- Contractual necessity — to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests — to improve the platform and prevent abuse.
- Consent — for push notifications (you may withdraw consent at any time in your device settings).
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share it in the following limited circumstances:
- Employers: When you voluntarily express interest in a job ad, the employer receives your name, phone number, city, vehicle type, and experience level so they can contact you via WhatsApp.
- Service providers: We use Firebase (Google LLC) for push notifications; your FCM token is transmitted to Firebase solely to deliver messages.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data (name, phone, city, nationality, vehicle type, experience, and FCM token) is permanently and irreversibly deleted within 30 days of the deletion request.
6. Account & Data Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. To do so:
- Open the InstaCaptain app → Profile → Delete Account, or
- Send a deletion request to velox.app.dev@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
7. Push Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send you job alerts and service updates. You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your device's notification settings or within the app. Opting out will not affect your ability to use the core features of the Service.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secured servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; however, we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Children's Privacy
InstaCaptain is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.
10. International Data Transfers
Our servers are operated by cloud providers that may process data in multiple regions. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to servers outside your country of residence, subject to adequate data protection safeguards.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or update your personal information (via the app profile settings).
- Request deletion of your data (see Section 6 above).
- Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to third-party services (e.g. WhatsApp). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you via the app or email if the changes are material. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
